Lamoille Union High School’s Varsity Dance Team has had an outstanding 2018-2019 season.
The team had six competitions in the duration of their season, and walked away with many top three finishes and a handful of first place finishes as well.
The team took a first place trophy at the Northern Vermont Athletic Conference (NVAC) in the hip hop category, the first time in history that Lamoille has won at the NVAC competition.
“This has been a great season! Both teams (JV & Varsity) have shown amazing dedication and have bonded to create a true family feel.” Said Nichole Lefaivre, the team’s coach, on their season.
On February 23 the varsity team went to Vergennes to participate in the statewide competition.
The team placed second in the hip hop category and tied for first in the jazz category with Mount Mansfield. They ended with a second place finish in both categories.
On March 9th the varsity team traveled to Braintree, Massachusetts for the regional competition, where they competed against the best teams in New England.
